Important update from Store Owner Kelly Moreland

As you probably know, Governor Cuomo has issued an executive order saying all staff of non-essential businesses stay home. As a result of that announcement, and our own concern for our staff and community, we are temporarily ceasing all business activity as of March 22, 2020, for at least two weeks. During this time, the sales floor will be closed and our remote shopping options will be paused.

The management team has done a tremendous job creating new systems, in a very short amount of time, enabling us to continue to serve you remotely. Though we are not currently selling online or over the phone, we will strive to offer that service again as soon as we feel it is safe to do so. Thank you to everyone who has stayed connected with us through these rapid changes and has shopped with us remotely. Please make sure you are following us on social media and receive emails from us, so we can update you efficiently in the coming weeks.

Note to our consignors:

Thank you for consigning wth us. Please look for an email from us about your consignment items. Below are answers to questions that you may have now that we have temporarily closed the store:

Q: Can you extend my consignment period?

A: Yes. Your consignment contract will be on pause until Mimi’s Attic reopens, which we hope will be in two weeks. We will get in touch with you at that time and update you on your options. 

Q: Can I get my item/s back now?

Yes, we will be conducting business until 4pm Saturday 3/21/20. If you call us, we can make arrangements for you to pick up your item/s from one of our parking lots. There will be no person-to person contact at that juncture, so please bring someone to help you load your item/s into your vehicle. 

Q: If I can’t pick up my item/s by the end of the day on Saturday March 21st, when will I be able to get them? 

As soon as Mimi’s Attic reopens, which we hope will be in two weeks. 

Q: I am expecting a payment for something that has sold. 

A: We will be sending checks to consignors who have had all their items sell (just like usual). If all your items haven’t sold, you may request a check to be mailed for sold items by 4pm Friday, March 20th. Requests after 4pm today, may not be honored due to a limited number of hours before our staff can no longer report to work. You will have to wait to receive your check until we reopen. 

Q: When will you be buying and consigning again?

We will keep you apprised (via our website, email blasts and social media) when we begin to take in consignment items again.
